Dr. Strohmeyer advises financial service providers and investors on all questions relating to capital investment, in particular with regard to closed-end real estate funds. Due to his many years of experience in advising and litigating in this area, he has been heading the department “Defence against mass damages for issuers and structural distributors” since 2008. This topic is also becoming increasingly relevant for insurers and regulatory umbrellas due to the stricter regulation of the area of pecuniary damage liability insurance. Included is the important topic of information control, for example in the areas of the internet (especially “hostile” AdWords), other media and participation under company law (shareholders’ meeting). For independent and affiliated distributors, Dr. Strohmeyer is also the contact person for the preparation and review of reports on investment advice provided. In addition to his work as a lawyer, Dr. Strohmeyer regularly gives lectures at industry trade fairs and to professional audiences.<\/p>

Dr. Jochen Strohmeyer, born in 1971, studied law in G\u00f6ttingen. After passing the first state examination in law, he obtained his doctorate at the Georg-August University in G\u00f6ttingen. As a research assistant at the university, he led several student working groups as well as advanced training courses for employees of the Saxony-Anhalt state administration. He then completed his legal traineeship in Dortmund and Brussels. During his legal training, Dr. Strohmeyer gained practical experience in medium-sized law firms in North Rhine-Westphalia as well as in commercial law firms in the USA and Italy. Dr. Strohmeyer joined mzs Rechtsanw\u00e4lte in December 2003 and has been a partner since January 2010. Since mid-November 2008, Dr. Strohmeyer has held the title of “Certified Specialist Lawyer for Banking and Capital Markets Law”. This additional qualification was introduced by the Federal Bar Association in 2008 as proof of special knowledge and experience in these areas of law. Since the end of 2020, he has also held the title of “Fachanwalt f\u00fcr Versicherungsrecht” (Certified Specialist Lawyer for Insurance Law).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
