Lawyer Gustav Meyer zu Schwabedissen
Mr. Meyer zu Schwabedissen advises financial service providers, issuers and small and medium-sized companies in the entire field of capital markets and investment law. The companies involved come from a wide variety of industries and financial sectors. A particular focus of Mr. Meyer zu Schwabedissen’s work is advising on applications for licences under the German Banking Act (KWG), the German Securities Institutions Act (WpIG) and the German Payment Services Supervision Act (ZAG).
Another of Mr. Meyer zu Schwabedissen’s specialties is providing legal advice on supervisory law in connection with mezzanine financing. He provides comprehensive advice to companies, inter alia, on the regulatory requirements and various contractual options in this market segment.
Mr. Meyer zu Schwabedissen has also been elected several times as joint representative of bondholders and holds this office for various medium-sized bonds.

Vita
Gustav Meyer zu Schwabedissen, born in 1954, studied law in Freiburg, Hamburg and London, specialising in commercial law. He has worked internationally as a lawyer in Düsseldorf since 1984, initially as a salaried lawyer with the law firm Kortländer & Partner. In 1986 he became a partner in this law firm. In 1992, Mr. Meyer zu Schwabedissen was admitted as a certified accountant in Düsseldorf. In 1996, Mr. Meyer zu Schwabedissen took over the law firm Kortländer & Partner and has continued to run it under the name mzs Rechtsanwälte since 2005.
