Lawyer Arne Podewils, LL.M.
Mr. Podewils advises and represents policyholders in disputes with their insurance company. One focus of his work in this regard is the representation of insurance clients who are in dispute about occupational disability insurance benefits or who wish to terminate their life insurance contract prematurely. In addition, Mr Podewils represents commercial agents in distribution law, in particular in the assertion of claims for compensation under the German Commercial Code (HGB). Another field of activity is the representation of investors who have invested in structured financial products such as certificates or leveraged pension models. In addition to his work as a lawyer

Vita
Arne Podewils, LL.M., born in 1974, studied law in Hamburg and Münster. After passing the first state examination in law, he obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in international commercial law from Victoria University Wellington, New Zealand. He then completed his legal traineeship in Duisburg, including in a renowned commercial law firm in the area of corporate law. After completing his legal clerkship, Mr Podewils began his career as a lawyer in a medium-sized law firm in Münsterland in 2005. Since 2006, Mr Podewils has worked as a lawyer at mzs Rechtsanwälte and has been a partner since January 2011. Mr. Podewils has held his title of ” Certified Specialist Lawyer for Banking and Capital Markets Law” since 2009. This additional qualification was introduced by the German Federal Bar Association at the beginning of 2008 as proof of special knowledge and experience. Since April 2018, Mr Podewils has also held the title of ” Certified Specialist Lawyer for Insurance Law”.
