Lawyer Dr. Thomas Meschede
Dr. Meschede advises and represents private and institutional investors in matters of investment and capital markets law. One focus of his work is advising on bond law, in particular on the organisation of creditors’ meetings and the activities of the joint representative of the bondholders. Another focus is on forensic work in connection with the reversal of failed investments, in particular on shares and offers on the grey capital market. (directly to publications)
Vita
Dr. Thomas Meschede, born in 1976, studied law at the Universities of Saarbrücken and Cologne with a focus on commercial law. He completed his legal traineeship in Cologne and Sydney (Australia). Following his legal clerkship, he completed his doctorate at the University of Cologne in the field of copyright law. He dedicated his doctorate to the topic “The protection of digital music and film works against private copying”. Dr Meschede joined mzs Rechtsanwälte in July 2005 and became a partner in January 2011. Dr. Meschede has held the title of “Certified Specialist Lawyer for Banking and Capital Markets Law” since 2012. This additional qualification was introduced by the German Federal Bar Association at the beginning of 2008 as proof of special knowledge and experience.
